Mr Sam Farah is a specialist vascular surgeon with particular expertise in lower limb arterial and venous disease, including diabetic foot disease. He works at Eastern Health providing comprehensive vascular assessment and intervention for complex diabetic foot conditions.

Sam was the vascular lead for the Alfred High Risk Foot Clinic between 2021 and 2025. His extensive experience in vascular surgery and collaborative approach with podiatry ensures patients receive the most advanced vascular surgical care available for diabetic foot complications requiring interdisciplinary treatment. He is an expert in the use of biodegradble tissue matrix (BTM) for healing of diabetic foot wounds.

Mr Kalpa Perera is a specialist vascular surgeon with expertise in arterial and venous disorders, with particular interest in limb salvage for patients with limb-threatening ischaemia and diabetic foot disease. He leads the High Risk Foot Service at The Austin Hospital.

His 3-year leadership of The Austin High Risk Foot Service and expertise in limb salvage procedures ensures patients receive the most advanced vascular surgical care available for diabetic foot complications requiring specialized intervention.
